Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the website. By accessing the website and/or placing an order, you signify your agreement to be bound by these conditions and you consent to us using your information in accordance with our privacy policy.

Our rugs
Our rugs are sold subject to their description. We make every effort to ensure the rug information is correct at the time when we add the information to the website, and take all reasonable care to portray our rugs accurately but pictures are for reference only. We try to display the colours of our rugs as accurately as possible. Nevertheless, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will be accurate.

We reserve the right to refuse orders where the product information or price has been incorrectly published.

Availability
All rugs are subject to availability. Please phone The Northern House on 07876 573492 to confirm rug availability.

We will inform you by email as soon as possible if rugs you have ordered are not available. If for any reason beyond our control we are unable to supply any products then you will be offered a full refund.

When placing an order you must confirm the details of the rug before purchasing.

Payment - Cheque / Postal Order
We accept cheques and postal orders made out to "The Northern House" in Pounds Sterling (£). Please send along with your name, address and the name of rug you would like to order to:

We recommend that you send any cheques or postal orders using a trackable delivery method. We cannot be held responsible for any payments which are lost in transit.

All prices quoted on the website are displayed in (£) Pounds Sterling, and exclude the cost of delivery. Payment for all orders (including those placed from outside the UK) are made in (£) Pounds Sterling.

Although we try to ensure all our prices displayed on our website are accurate, sometimes errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered we will contact you.

All rugs remain the property of The Northern House until payment is received in full.

We accept PayPal payments. PayPal is a service that enables you to pay, send money, and accept payments without revealing your financial details. Click here to find out more about PayPal.

 

Delivery and Returns

Delivery
Your order will normally be dispatched within 5 (five) working days of placing the order. The Northern House shall not be liable for any delay that you may suffer in this regard. If you have any questions about the status of your order then please contact The Northern House on 07876 573492.

Delivery Charges
A delivery charge (which helps cover the cost of packaging, postage and insurance) is added to all orders, as follows:

UK Mainland
Small rug - up to 1kg £10.00
Medium and Large rugs - up to 5kg £20.00

Rest of World
For delivery charges outside the UK, please contact The Northern House on 07876 573492 for a shipping quote.

Returns
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm.

We have a returns policy if the goods are damaged in transit or are faulty. If this is the case, please contact us immediately by phone or e-mail and we will advise you what to do. Please retain the goods and their original packaging as you may be asked to return them to us.

Please pack returned goods with care and send them by Royal Mail Special Delivery or an equivalent postal service, which provides adequate insurance to cover the value of the item and requires a signature on receipt. It is imperative that you use the correct postal service when returning goods to us, as we cannot be held responsible for any items returned to us that are lost in transit.

We will carefully examine the returned goods. If the goods have been damaged in transit, we will replace the item or refund the cost, including postage, provided you have notified us within a reasonable time of receiving it.

You can return your order if you change your mind, provided you do this within 7 working days of receiving your rug. Please notify us immediately by telephone or e-mail if you decide to cancel your order.

Your refund will be processed as soon as possible and in any event within no more than 30 days of the day you have given us notice of cancellation. Cancellation must be by the person who placed the order. If you cancel by telephone, we will need to be satisfied that you are the person who placed the order.

In the event of non-delivery - a refund will be issued 30 days after the date package was despatched.

Privacy Policy

We do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Disclaimer & Liability
The Northern House website provides a general description of the nature of the goods. We endeavour to ensure that all descriptions and pictures of the rugs on the website or otherwise provided to you by us are accurate but there may be slight variations due to publishing limitations.

The Northern House reserves the right to remove any items listed in the website from sale or alter prices without prior notice.

Except in relation to the description of products available for order from our website, we make no guarantees or warranties concerning the security, timeliness, relevancy, sufficiency, accuracy or reliability of any data, information, or services provided to you on or through this site. We will work to keep the website up to date but cannot guarantee that this site and its contents are completely free of technical errors, viruses or anything else that may have a harmful effect on any technology. We will endeavour to allow uninterrupted access to the site but access may be suspended, restricted or terminated at any time.
